In 1979, The Art Exchange was founded by Marjie Coopersmith and Fran Rothman in response to a need for corporate art resources in Columbus and surrounding business communities. In 2006, Kristin Meyer purchased The Art Exchange, bringing to the team her expertise from Manhattan with a background in auction and private sales. As Columbus’ longest running art consulting firm, The Art Exchange has continually focused on integrating art successfully into corporate and healthcare environments, and to do so within budget.

At The Art Exchange we pride ourselves on our national network of contacts among artists, dealers, print publishers and galleries, enabling us to find the right art for each project. We are able to draw from an unlimited number of resources and create a unique mix of media. This can run the gamut from contemporary to folk art, photography, sculpture, glass, ceramics, works on paper, and contemporary crafts, as well as traditional works of art.

Our staff currently consists of five Art Consultants, a Director of Art Resources and an Office Manager. Our support services are provided by a professional framer and a team of installers.
